Smartphones and tablets are now taking the spotlight, together with rise of non-smart mobile phones in many developing countries. In light of this advance, there has been a sudden upsurge in demand for electronic parts such as SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) filters that are used in mobile phones and tablets.

SAMCO has sold numerous dry etching systems for the fabrication of electronic parts used in mobile phones and tablets. These systems have been highly acclaimed for their reliability and low cost of ownership. Recently, electronic parts manufacturers are expanding their production capacity in manufacturing parts for mobile phones and tablets. Consequently, SAMCO has recently sold over ten production-scale systems to two prominent electronic parts manufacturers in Japan.
